Lake Blvd. BIKE PATH MEETING

Michael Mitchell, Principal Civil Engineer for the City of Davis, will host a town hall meeting to discuss the Lake Blvd bike path/sidewalk in early 2012. The meeting site is the Stonegate Country Club
The area of concern is the bike path on Lake Blvd. across from Sunset Villas and in front of the club area.
Mr. Mitchell will outline available solutions to deal with the roots spreading into the sidewalk/bike path. Prior to the meeting should anyone have comments or suggestions Mr. Mitchell encourages hearing from you. His email is mmitchell@cityofdavis.org.

Play Field Update report
If you have been to the play field in the last couple of days you might have seen some activity.
The club is in the process of replacing the valves and sprinkler heads. This accompanies a new way of watering the field. The new source of water will be from the lake. This will accomplish two things;
1. Increase the water pressure to the field
2. Lower our water bills.
The result of item one will be that the field will be watered evenly so the dry areas ( and muddy) will disappear.
This will be quite a process including boring a pipeline from the lake to the field. We anticipate that from time to time the field will be closed as this process continues. Should you have any questions or comments - we would love to hear from you.
