Parking Regulations
1) Purpose: The intent of these regulations are to provide a reasonable compromise between the acknowledged need to park vehicles on the streets and lots within the development and the goal of maintaining the community in a safe and aesthetically attractive manner. Further, it is intended that long term storage of any vehicle kept on an individual lot will only be permitted when such storage conditions do not materially alter the aesthetics of the neighborhood.
2) Passenger Vehicles: Parking of passenger vehicles on any street shall be limited to the maximum permitted by the City of Davis, which is currently 120 hours (5 days). Automobiles, pick-ups, and utility trucks (e.g. Jeep Cherokees, Ford Explorers) used, as passenger vehicles may be stored upon the driveway portion of a Lot for a period not to exceed 30 days.
3) Recreational Vehicles: Boats, boat trailers, campers, house trailers, recreational vehicles, travel trailers, or other vehicles used for recreational purposes may be parked on a street only for such time as permitted by Davis City Ordinance (currently 120 hours) and stored on the driveway portion of a Lot for a period not to exceed 168 hours (7 days) in duration.
A recreational vehicle shall not be kept on a Lot for a longer period of time unless such recreational vehicle is placed in a suitable location and with suitable screening/covering approved by the Architectural Committee in accordance with Article VI of the Stonegate Master Association's governing documents. Suitable screening shall be defined as permanent screening, such as a fence or a wall, and not a removable tarp or cover.
The restriction shall not, however, be deemed to prohibit commercial and construction vehicles in the ordinary course of business, from making deliveries or otherwise providing service to any said property.
4) Penalties and Fines: Property owners shall receive a written notice of violation from the Stonegate Master Association outlining the violation, and requesting voluntary compliance of the parking regulations. The violation notice will give property owners the opportunity to address the Board of Directors at their next regular meeting.
Property owners will be given 7 days to correct the violation. If the violation is not corrected within 7 days, a fine of $25 will be instituted. If the violation is not corrected within 14 days of the first notice, a second fine in the amount of $100 shall be levied. Additional fines shall also be levied on a monthly basis, at a rate of $100 per month.
All fines and penalties shall be added to the member's account balance. Unpaid balances will be subject to the policies of the established collection policy, which include interest charges, property liens and possible foreclosures.
